The Magic of Murano Part II—The Delicious Work of Cesare Toffolo
Cesare Toffolo is comfortable with many traditional techniques and uses them in both a traditional and nontraditional context. One of his calling cards is his use of Reticello, where two hemispherical cups are blown, each containing a pattern of canes twisted in a single direction. He is one of the few in Murano, Italy, to use borosilicate as well as soda lime glass.

Also look for Glass Talk with Dale Smeltzer in an interview with Howard Sandberg of Coatings By Sandberg, Inc. Howard is confident in recommending his dichroic glass to torchworkers, because the company specifically designs its coatings to be hot-worked. This is in contrast to dichroic glass, which is manufactured specifically for the lighting industry for the purpose of maximizing reflection or simply reflecting the beautiful colors found in dichroic glass.
