Fall 2001

Lino Tagliapietra
Italian-born Lino Tagliapietra’s decision to seize the opportunity for a second career at an age when many others might eye retirement propelled him to the forefront of the American Studio Art Glass movement. He continues to work in the traditional Murano manner as maestro over a team of workers who number from eight to ten depending upon current projects at this Seattle studio.
by Diane Heilenman

Also look for Play with Fire—A Guide to Flamework in the Studio by Marcie Davis, which offers general guidelines for what is required by torchworkers to engage in their art and ways to determine whether your art glass store is ready to service customers who are interested in hot glass supplies.
