Artists always need to be aware of places where they can find new inspiration for their work. Attending conferences such as The Gathering, which is put on each year by the International Society of Glass Beadmakers, as well as local and regional shows, provide a way for artists to connect with one another and exchange information that can prove to be a great source of new inspiration. Organizational “themed challenges” can also provide the extra push that artists need to jump-start their work in a new direction.
