 About
Profitable Glass Quarterly has been providing inspiration and information since 1998 to art glass entrepreneurs and artists. While working with art glass studios and retailers through PGQ’s sister glass crafting publication, Glass Patterns Quarterly, Editor in Chief Maureen James discovered that there were few consistently published materials related to the business side of art glass. To meet that need, the initial Spring 1998 issue of Profitable Glass Quarterly was launched in a newsletter format. The Winter 1998 issue of PGQ became a full-fledged magazine that has since expanded to a sixty-plus-page publication dedicated to presenting inspiring stories of what other studio artists and retailers have learned about growing their businesses. There is also always plenty of sound advise from business experts on how to turn a better profit, encourage employees, organize a business, discover inventive ways to make business grow, and make efficient use of up-to-the-minute technological advances and the Internet.

We at Profitable Glass Quarterly strive to make this publication the best resource available to the art glass professional, and we look forward to bringing many more top-quality articles over the years to those who are looking for ways to improve their business skills and increase profits while providing their customers with expert service that will keep them coming back again and again. We hope you’ll join us on that journey.
